I think Misty is near Pirrsburgh so that's probaly like a 4-5 hour drive from Philly. I looked on the website and rooms start at $359 a night! Yikes! Oh my goodness!! I guess that makes the decision a bit easier doesn't it? LOL |

I got my packet today. I think it said we get the money a couple weeks later? Is that the way it worked last time? If people want to stay an extra day and fly back sunday, how much is that going to cost us for the extra night in the four seasons? Anyone know? Anyone wanna share hotel rooms? I notice in the questionaire in the packet, it asks how many to a room....how should I fill that in? I was nervous that they were going to tell me I had to fly out of Toledo, which I am not familiar with, but it looks as if they give you a choice of what airport you want to fly out of, and my choice is the one in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. I know how to get to that one...LOL Because I am flying half way accross the states shire is paying for me to stay tell sunday. I did ask Uni is she wanted to stay with me for the extra day. I know jfla was from washington and she stayed the extra day. But if i remember rightly she moved closer. I dont know who else is from far away. I live in Montana. So I will have an hour flight to salt lake city then a straight to pa and that will be a 3 to 4 hour flight or longer. I know when I went to New york city last time it was a 5 hour flight for me. So shire is paying for me to stay tell sunday. I hope that helps. And the last time they paid us like 2 days after we got home from new york. So I dont know how they are doing it this time. Yeah....I am only coming from Ohio....so I doubt I qualify, LOL. Oh well, maybe next time.... |

Maybe I will get lucky and they won't be able to find a flight that comes into Ft. Wayne on Saturday night....it isn't that large of an airport, I can dream, right?

The weekend rates are $295 per night with the third night free. I don't think I'll be able to stay even at that rate but if anyone wanted to, they could check into whether or not they could get the free third night.

Me either, unless they have 4 to a room, that is more than I wanted to spend, and I have to be back Sunday, because on Monday the 30th, I start my Spring Quarter classes. |

Just found out yesterday that I have no one to cover my shift for that weekend so...I can't attend. I am heartbroken and want to quit my job!!!! We're so short handed as it is, and the women who will usually cover for people is going on vactation that week. I can't believe it...I am so angry.

Bugsmom, I can see you coming down with something and surprisingly, the incubation period ends March 26th and you'll be too sick to work until the 29th when you have a miraculous recovery!  Seriously, is there any way you can tell them you can't miss this? If you dropped dead they would cover the shift. If they are that short staffed they need to hire someone else. Would they let you off if you could get some of your co-workers to cover your hours? |

CG is right. Is there anyway you can tell them something...like they already paid for you or something. And if you don't go it's like a breach of contract, and they'll sue you and arrest you, and throw you in jail and poor poor Josh won't have a mom.
I'm grasping at straws.

I'm going to go one more route on Monday. We have a new hire that may be able to cover my Friday. I'm hoping if shes willing to take my Friday, I'll cover her next Saturday and that would give her a 4 day weekend. I hate to ask her because she just started 2 weeks ago and is already overwelmed...but I want to go sooooooooooooooooo bad. What pi##es me off is that I have never called off, called in sick (even when I was), AND come into work 15 minutes early EVERY day (without pay). I guess I need to care less like the rest of the crowd, but I just wasn't raised that way. I'm not giving up yet...keep your fingers crossed for me.
