I'm going to go one more route on Monday. We have a new hire that may be able to cover my Friday. I'm hoping if shes willing to take my Friday, I'll cover her next Saturday and that would give her a 4 day weekend. I hate to ask her because she just started 2 weeks ago and is already overwelmed...but I want to go sooooooooooooooooo bad. What pi##es me off is that I have never called off, called in sick (even when I was), AND come into work 15 minutes early EVERY day (without pay). I guess I need to care less like the rest of the crowd, but I just wasn't raised that way. I'm not giving up yet...keep your fingers crossed for me. I will keep mine crossed. And really, if it doesn't work out that the new girl can cover your hours, I would tell them that you are already committed to this company, it is a whole month away, they can surely get someone to cover you by then. I am putting in for my days off on tuesday or wednesday. My store manager was so sweet to me today. I have had a cold, coughing, losing my voice most of the way for this past week, but I have showed up to work and done my shifts, till yesterday. I woke up with my chest hurting so badly I was afraid I was having a heart attack. I wasn't supposed to work till 11, but I called the mcdonalds at 6:15AM, and the store manager answered. I told her my chest was hurting very badly, and that I thought it was just major congestion, but I needed to go to the doctor and have it checked out so I was not going to be able to come to work. She reminded me I was opening the next morning (today) and I told her I would let her know how I was feeling. I tried to call the store to tell them that I would come in to open, but they did not answer so I went ahead and set the alarm for 4 oclock....but this morning I woke up to see that the time was 6 AM!!! I panicked then realized that the store had not called me to see where I was, so I called them and the store manager answered again and she says, "didn't you get my message?" I say no, did you talk to one of the boys? She said no she left me a message on the cell phone....but that she thought I sounded so bad the morning before that she went ahead and covered my shift for this morning, and I should go back to bed and get some rest. Of course I could not fall asleep, LOL, but it was nice to have the day off.... |

Actually, she might appreciate the extra day off now while she is so overwhelmed. She will have another month to adjust before she needs to cover for you so she should feel more confident by then. ;D |

Bugs I am hoping you can get something worked out to come!!!
I am most likely staying the extra night and sharing a room with Tig. Have to get some sightseeing time in and the trip to see Misty.
Puzzled we'll just bring sleeping bags and we can all shove in one room for the extra night LOL...

Puzzled we'll just bring sleeping bags and we can all shove in one room for the extra night LOL... Seriously can we get away with that? If we can I will put that I am staying the extra night.....I hate to fly in one night and out the next. But there is no way I can afford that steep a price for the room...I was wanting to stick the whole amount they pay me onto chelsea's wedding stuff.... What should I put for the question on the form that asks how many people to a room? |

If I can come, I want to stay the extra night. Maybe we can work something out. I'm like puzzled, I don't want to fly in and out in 24 hours. I want to get some sights in...Independence Hall, the Liberty bell,...geez, at least a cheesesteak hogie!

Maybe I should splurge....if we can get 3 to a room or 4, I am not sure how they work, we can split the cost that way....$259 split 3 ways is $86....not too awful. I can save that up between now and the 27th....maybe. |

I sure hope the both of you can work it out where you to can stay the extra night??? To bad y ou didnt live farther away, or the meeting was in a dufferent state. But if we can get away with it uni's idea aint bad. we could do that to??? If we dont get in any trouble with it. I want to do some sight seeing to and see misty. But i doubt I will get to buy anything or anything like hat. It will be probaly the same way it was the last time I was stuck in new york city with no money and I am sure I will be stuck over there with no money again.

Other options I thought of are to see if there is a cheaper motel or hotel around there that we could move to for the second night and see if our rides to the airport could just pick us up there. If we could know for sure how many people wanted to stay we might be able to arrange a group rate and get a discount at a motel.
