I was waiting to hear about the rooms too. But will send in paperwork in tomorrows mail. Like the group rate plan even in a cheaper hotel.

Michelle replied back that she would run the idea of us rooming with more per room and staying the extra night that way by Shire. I'll let you all know their decision as soon as I hear from her.

I went ahead and filled in that I wanted to stay the extra night so the flights will be okay. But, this is a fedex express mail envelope, and in this tiny town there is no set pick up location for fedex. The drugstore in town said that the guy used to stop there every day, but hasn't stopped there for a while, so they gave me an 800 number to call and after a fashion I got a real live person who set up a pickup for the envelope for tomorrow at the drug store. I would have had it picked up at my house but I am in class all day tomorrow and won't be home. How cool is it that this conference came during my break from classes? I will have at least a week before to get my house back in order and some food in the freezer for my guys to eat while I am gone, then come away for my little weekend, and start my Spring Quarter of classes on the Monday after. |

I just looked the route from the hotel to Misty's house up on Map Quest and its a 5 hour drive one way under optimal conditions. I think that might be a bit far to go after our meeting. We would need time to eat and to stop for the bathroom so we wouldn't even get there until very late and we would still have the return trip.

That's a far drive. Don't make solid plans to come here. I would LOVE it of course, but I was thinking.....Bill has an appointment with his neurosurgeon on the 18th. I don't know what he'll say but the appointment is to see if Bill is ready to have the piece of skull replaced. If he is, I don't know how quickly they'll schedule it in, but with him so mobile now they just might rush it if he's ready. So until his appointment I won't know for sure if a visit will even be possible.

Wish I had more room-you could all stay here and I wouldn't even charge you!  Had I ever gotten to move I would have a spare bedroom AND a family room but since I didn't-we have neither. I am not going to stay the extra night but since I am driving I can leave whenever I want. And I can even come back the next day. I am 8 miles from the hotel. Even though I am scared to death to drive in Philly. I drive all the way to VA with no problem but Philly makes me a nervous wreck. But I'll force myself to see you guys! |
