My daughter's psychologist had written a book and finally has come out 2 years later but it is out. I am half way through it and it is good and he likes the difficult behavior kids and has his own theories of why typical behavior mods do not work and has his own which I must say are effective for they are what I use on my own child. He takes the strong will and opposition and uses that to help shape the behavior we want. Now for the book: "Don't swear with your mouth full! when conventional discipline fails unconventional children" by Cary S. Chugh, Phd his website is WWW.carychugh.com the book costs about $15 and can be ordered on amozon books website as well. |

It is a good book not boring for I read a lot of self help books. Most of the first half gets into the why other behavior plans fail example the time out concept with certain kids chapter 5 is when he gets into his own plan and he explains why he feels it is better. Like I said before we have been going to him for 4 years now and my girl does have ODD and ADHD and is a good girl doing well. Whenever I do have a problem I call him and he calls me back in 24 hours with what to do. I am planning to buy another copy for the school social worker and another for work to help families we get.

The book is really awesome and today on her appointment he told us someone from California ordered one and was thrilled someone from not around here buying the book. He thanked me and how he knew I posted his book was my husband told him on her last visit. Mr. Chugh is now working with the University where my girl was in the study and be offering training and workshops and new families coming in can try out his techniques versus the traditional.
