I started 10 mgs of Adderall a week ago. I noticed it did make a slight difference in my ability to focus and ignore some outside distractions. I really feel that the right dose would increase the benefits.
Did anyone start out like this and see greater improvement at higher levels? I hate to think that I am expecting too much from it but if I can have even better results, I really want them.
What differences did you notice once you were on the right dose? Should I talk to my np about increasing the dose?

When I started Concerta, the shrink started me on the lowest dose possible and titrated up to the maximum workable dose. My shrink at the time had a list of question he asked me each time and we talked about them and it was based on those. I would tell your np for sure that you experienced some benefit and what it was, then say you would like to try a higher dose.
Just ask what side effects you may experience.

Thank you. I seem to feel a bit sleepy on it, especially in the mornings, then when it wears off I'm ready to fall asleep. Does that sound normal and do you think an increased dose might make me more tired?

Yes, that was similar to my situation. Low dose concerta made me sleepy when I started it! I started at 18 mg, then 36, then 54 and now 72mg. My pysc wants to increase it some more at least temporarily since the radiation treatments are zapping my short term memory skills.
