I literally gave up a year ago after he was denied for SSI the first time because it was clear that nobody was going to listen to me. SSA didn't even contact the dr that dx'd him, which totally made NO sense to me at all.

But then I met someone online, totally by accident, seen she lived in Ohio where the egg donor lived, emailed her (the new friend), started telling her about the egg donor and the boys...and she said *drum roll*

"My MIL is a speaker for RAD."

Goosebumps, huh? Me too. Since then, we've been inseperable...and she's given me so much information. She now wants to build a website for RAD for the information that nobody wants to tell you unless you buy their book. LOL I told her I should write a book titled "What if you were raising the next Charles Manson?" Tristin has so many things in common with Manson, you'd think he was in the same DNA chain. Yet nobody wants to help....

In less than 10 minutes, SSA will be calling for a phone interview to do this ONE MORE TIME.... Cross your fingers!!! =)

Its great to "meet" you & I'm glad you took Puzzled's advice & popped on over. I have a 13 year old with ADD & 2 LDs. I don't medicate her either so I'm sure we can trade advice!

I'm not sure how much advice I can give at this point as I'm still learning, other than what to protect your head with when you're so frustrated that you repeated bang it against the wall. LOL

Therapy for me? Loud music. When he screams like he's being killed, I turn up the radio so loud that the deer on the next mountain break out into a dance of the wild....and eventually, he stops.

I know what you mean about raising the next Charles Manson-I think of Sean of a future Columbine killer. Then when something terrible happens everyone will say "what about the parents-why didn't they see this coming, why didn't they get him any help?" So much easier said than done. Sad as it sounds when I finished talking to his new therapist and she mentioned that he had sociopathic tendencies I was relieved because someone else is finally seeing what I see every day. Not exactly a reason for celebration but at least I know Im not imagining things.
