Sean's school is finally catching up with my knowledge-3 years later but still, better than never. His case worker called me yesterday and said that both his teacher and the special ed teacher are very concerned with his reading abilities. His reading comprehension is poor and he is not able to keep up with his reading group. Therefore she wanted to know if it was ok with me if Sean's IEP wa changed and he was placed in the pull-out spec. ed. reading group every day. Is it ok? I have been practically begging for that since kindergarten! So yeah, the "experts" are finally figuring it out.

Better late than never! I'm so glad he finally has a teacher who is willing to admit she isn't necessarily the best one to teach him with his ld.

I think it is a cost issue schools do not want to provide unless they have to. I am glad he is finally getting what he needs.
