It would depend on where and how long I had. I think if I had less than a month I would love to fly first class to wherever I was going and rent an appropriate vehicle (car, SUV, etc) so I could go wherever I wanted once I got there. If I were going to NY City and could do it my way, I'd hire a driver to take me everywhere so I wasn't dependant on cabs. There is no way I'd drive there during the week. Actually, for any large city it would be nice to have someone who knows the area and traffic do all the driving. I get too frazzled to even attempt driving in heavy traffic in a strange area. If I had plenty of time and was going into relatively rural areas, one of those really fancy motor homes that I could tow my car with would be nice. I'd love a suite in a 5 star hotel too. I think I could easily acclimate to being filthy rich.

I couldn't decide either because it all depends. I guess if I'm going on my dream vacation that would be to Europe. I wouldn't want to do a cruise for that so I guess I'd fly. In some instances from that point on I may rent a car and in other areas take a bike and yet in other areas walk.
So I voted to fly just to get there quickly. And to go to Europe it would have to be first class for such a long flight.

I chose drive. Of course, if I'm going overseas I'd fly (Driving across water isn't possible), but if I stay in the US, I'd drive simply because I love stopping at different little towns & attractions along the way.

since I hate to fly. I severely hyperventilate when taking off and landing, I would have to choose driving as my first choice.
