Farrah..........started thread Dec 5, 2005, 9:48am
ok, I have and 11 yo dd soon to be twelve. she has grown so much in the last 3 months that she has no clothes that fit her and has begun to raid my closet.
the good part is we didn't need to up her meds. she seems to have learn to work with her issues with the help of the meds.
I have been doing research about horse therapy, but she apparently isn't sick enough to get it. So i am going to giver her horse riding lessons for a birthday present. The trainer even said she could work at the barn for her lessons come summer. man, this is exactly what I wanted to help her concentrate and learn about responsiblities.
I am so excited that I found someone who is willing to give her the time and teach her.

Wow! That is EXCELLENT, Farrah! Boy, my DD would LOVE that ! #00christmas-smiley-1# She's 11 also & SO into horses! Please keep me updated on her progress. My DD will be 12 in June...I'll have to look into lessons around here. Sounds like a great idea.

it just doesn't make sense that they offer horse therapy for every disease or disorder except the learning ones like adhd. My friends daughter is a dawrf and she can go, but my dd who has adhd with emphasis on impulsivness can't get this kinds of therapy.
well, I guess if everything was easy we would be here talking about it
