Differences In Brain Function Found For Attention Deficit Disorder

Charliegirl >>Due to your editing, I checked the date. It was Nov. 1998. I would be interested in finding out if they actually did follow up studies and whether they were inconclusive or showed this was definitely on the wrong track.
Has anyone here heard of anything like this and the results? Dr. Amen does a similar thing with MRI, but I believe he uses dyes.

CynthiaTweedle>>Here are two more current articles on brain scans for ADHD.

The second one has PICTURES. It's exciting to see research is continuing, but more needs to be done.

I was going to mention Dr. Amen also [but somebody beat me to it], I've read 4-5 of his books and they are interesting & informative but as always there are other view points as to his conclusions, even his own staff has different outlooks to the same scans. So would take everything with a Large grain of Salt [& call your Dr. in the morning ]. . .

Thanks, John. I was afraid it might be something like that, but I had my hopes up that maybe they were on to something that might help.

I really do believe they are on to something. Too many people are on nearly the same track and they all have reason to sense they are close. It just takes time for the defining thing to be identified.
I really believe they are very close. There has to be something that will show up somewhere with the right technology applied by the right person.
