I just got Joshua's report card for his 1st semester grades yesterday. He did so much better than I expected...2 A's, 3 B's, and 2 C's. 
Because he was so sick during finals week I thought he was going to fail a few. He did great and brought all his grade up. He did fail one, but his grade was already pretty good so it didn't effect it too much.
But, what I'm most proud of is all the comments I received about what a great kid he was and how much his teachers enjoyed having him in class. I was literally crying my eyes out when I was reading them....pleasure to have in class, very hard worker, has so much potentail, cooperative and friendly, focusing and working very hard, turning in ALL his assignments on time, takes re-direction very well, ...it just went on and on. I've waiting years to hear these things from teachers. I knew all along he could do it, HE just needed to know he could do it!
I'm so happy for him. My bug is growing up. It just proves that in the right environment, our kids can thrive. I think we finally found the right one.
