I know forgetfulness is a HUGE part of ADD, but I'm ready to go out of my mind with Josh losing things lately!! In the last month, he's left his computer charger at school...TWICE! Those things are a $100 to replace! He got very lucky both times, in which his teachers picked them up and took them to the tech office at school. These chargers get stolen all the time and he was very lucky. So last night he went to grab his glasses out of his bookbag and he relizes they're not there. He can't remember where he left them. I asked him what class he wore them in last, he can't remember. He then decided to call a buddy he had in his last hour and ask him if he was wearing them in class.... I about died!! He can't even remember if he wore them!! His friend said he did have them on and remembered them sitting on his desk. Duhhh!! I swear, he better find them today. I don't have the money to replace them this week. I'm afraid he's used up his "get out of jail free card"...lol. In a way I want him to have to deal with his lack of responsibility. I'm almost tempted to make him pay for at least half if they can't be found. What do you guys think? Is that too harsh?

Josh & Shannon are so much alike! She loses things like crazy. Its not too harsh to make him pay half. I've started doing that myself & slowly Shannon is learning to keep better track of things. She still loses stuff but not as often & not the things that are the most expensive.

Well, he lucked out again. He got them back today...lucky little brat!! I did however let him know that if he loses anything else and DOSEN'T get it back that half is coming out of his bank account. I'm done with the not being responsible stuff!

Latest....comes home yesterday to inform me that he lost his gym locker lock. I told him I'll drive him to Walmart this weekend so he could replace it with his own money. How and the heck can you lose a lock? There's only so much space in a locker room...geez.

kids steal stuff like locks all the time. All he has to do is not lock it and someone else owns it.
You could threaten to paint his computer charger bright pink if he ever loses it again. ;D
