A certain little girl I know has gotten the worst case of the gimmes and the I want's! It hasn't been this bad in past years. Everytime I take her to a store, she wants everything in sight. Just to be betting something. Are you seeing it more now with all the holiday shopping too? She is not understanding that we are buying for others and that if I get her everything she sees, that Santa won't have anything to choose from for her. That doesn't work. Then she says well you can buy whatever for whomever and still get me x, y z.
Plus just the sensory overload that she is experiencing too. It is too much for her. And I didn't give her medication for 4 days.

Shannon is not so bad now, but yeah, when she was 8, 9, 10, she was JUST like that. I used to leave her at home when I shopped for other kids, or at Grandma's. The commercials at this time of year do nothing but add to the "Gimmes" too! ARGH! I remember I used to hat to allow her to watch TV, because every toy she saw she "HAD to have!"
And why is it that the ONLY time of year we see commercials for "Chia Pets" and "The Clapper" is in December???
