So, yesterday I got a letter inviting Josh to honors night at school to recognized his accomplishments this year. I was a little taken aback because he isn't in the honors program, and isn't in honor society. So, I ask him and he doesn't know. Quite frankly I thought it was sent to him on accident...lol. The only thing I could think of is that he has jumped significantly in his grade point average since the fall. We have worked our butts off this year and I am sooooo proud of him. The last two quarters he has just kicked butt...lol.
So, I called the school this morning to see if we were sent the letter on purpose...lol, and they said yes. Josh has been nominated by two teachers for an award!!! I am so excited and proud of him. This will be such a boost to his self-esteem and prove to him that he can do everything with hard work. I can't tell you how good it is to see him recognized...after all the years of feeling stupid and worthless, this will be so good for him.
