I'm pathetic, just now getting on to read this. Aimee, I'm so glad Dakota is happy at school. I hope the new med regiment is working. Misty! No, she can't be a senior! Funny how I still think of her as the picture you first posted when she was just a young kid. I mean, I know she is growing up but those pictures always flash through my mind when you mention her name. lol Tigger, I hope that military school works for Michael. Is it where he lives at the school or just day hours like regular schools? So sorry to hear about your truck. It's pretty hard for the police to solve a case like this. Gone are the days when they had time to talk to neighbors to ask if they saw anything. I know just recently some jerks have been vandalizing cars and breaking into them and stealing what they wanted in my neighborhood. You think the police ever knocked on my door to ask if I saw anything. Nooooo. I even have security cameras up, you'd think they would have asked me to check my recordings (I did and there is nothing there. My camera wasn't aimed right to catch the guy who busted up my next door neighbors car). Hopefully, someone just wanted to take a joy ride in your truck and the police will find it abandoned somewhere.

That's wonderful Aimee! YAY DAKOTA!
Yes, JJ, she is really a senior. I don't know how time went so fast. The great thing about her school is most of the teachers teach all the HS grades so she has many of the same teachers this year. The one that is her special ed teacher for her math LD is helping Shannon look into scholarships & colleges. AND the school was given a grant for a few kids to attend the STEP Program (School to Employment) Program. Shannon was chosen! It is free, and they give them free job coaching experience, and transportation. They will tailor the program around what her needs are. It will be a great experience and funded by a grant so she can get career experience. There are different opportunities for placements, it would only have to be approximately 1 morning or afternoon a week . She is excited & we are meeting with their rep this Friday. I can't believe I'll have a graduate at the end of the year!
And my nephew Brendan started 1st grade. He came home the first day & said "First grade is GREAT!". LOL he has his first loose tooth too.

Aimee, That is wonderful news. Yippee!
Misty, I wish more schools had it that way, where they have the same teacher. At least if just one followed them to the next grade I bet it would make things a lot easier. Change isn't easy for a lot of people and especially some adhd kids.
That STEP program sounds great. So glad she was chosen.
It's also hard to believe Brendan is starting first grade. Now we did see him from baby to now. First loose tooth. I don't know why but I think kids are adorable when they loose their front teeth, when they smile. Makes me chuckle.
