I had read about Einstein years ago. It seems that his 6th grade teacher suggested to his mom that he was retarded and she should take him out of school and find someone who could teach him an easy trade. His mother refused to accept that he was retarded, and a Nobel Prize was the end result, not to mention the theory of relativity.
This always encourages me. I don't think I have an Einstein on my hands, but I know I do have a child who can grow up to be a man who can do whatever he chooses in life. If he wants to do it badly enough, he has the intelligence to figure it out.
Thanks for the link. I never really thought about my son as compared to Einstein. I wonder if his mom went prematurely gray too.

VERY interesting .. and also reminds me of articles and books about Winston Churchill who was expelled from several schools and failed his final exams dismally!! ... and like Einstein I understand was VERY adhd and severely dyslexic ... ... but certainly proved his worth later in life ... and has even just recently been heralded the "Greatest Briton EVER" ..
Einstein, Churchill, Walt Disney (who was apparently sacked from his first job at Woolworths for not having enough imagination!) ... and the list goes on ... and on ...
AND they sure don't have to be on the "genius" level to succeed!!
