Very nice story. I got a little emotional reading about the poor Mom expecting something negative when she opened the door.

That was a touching story. It reminds me of some of the kids I see in the lunchroom. The ones the teachers call bad kids & who seem to get in trouble for any little thing. OH, a few are just bad I know, but some I can see have other issues going on & I try to show them small kindnesses when I can. The teachers call me a bleeding heart, but so be it. One boy in particular is always getting picked on by his peers. I stand up for him when they call me over complaining about ANOTHER thing they say the boy has done. I never see this boy talking to other teachers but he now lights up when he sees me & has started talking to me a bit. I hope in some small way I've helped him.

Aw CG You made me cry!!! The whole thing was so touching all the way around because Jake makes people VERY uncomfortable with his inability to read people. I felt so bad when the mother open the door with fear of what has he done now? Somehow one day I think I will be that mom. That is what upset me the most. Thanks for the tear jerker
