Hi KK,
So sorry you had a bad day yesterday. I hope today is a better one for you and you are able to find out more info. on the meds. and solutions in dealing with Sean. I hope your H will be as supportive as you need after your talk and having to deal with yesterday's situation. Sending hugs and prayers your way. Hoping today will be a better day for you.

I can't relate as Megan isn't that bad (and the meds have DEFINITELY helped!), but I can offer a shoulder to cry on or an ear to vent to (though I'm sure using the word vent is about as polite as you can get!). I hope that you can get this resolved as like everyone else said, it's taking a great toll on you and Joseph. I'm glad that you can talk to your hubby. Hopefully things will change for the better after you see the doctor Wednesday.

I am so sorry that all I can do is tell you I am praying for you and your family...I hope it is enough...this group has kind of a good track record in that department lately, so hopefully we will again! I know when Jonna and Chase are at their worst, anger wise...we don't want to be around them, but they have never had the other issues that Sean exhibits, just getting mad at the drop of a hat for no reason we can see, Jonna was much worse than Chase (prob cuz we have meds for him), so we are much more able to work through it with him, we know he COULD be worse. Hopefully the doctors can find something to work for Sean soon. Poor Joseph to not feel comfy and cozy at his own home, and you just know it killed him as much as it did you for him to admit it to you!

Katie... like i said before Dep. doesn't help with Highs. I took it for years and it never helped ALL of my bipolar symptoms.

Oh, Katie...I just don't know what to say. I missed this thread yesterday...I'm so sorry you had such a rough day. My heart just goes out to you. I can't imagine the pull you must feel between providing a happy and healthy home for Joseph, the love you have for your husband, and wanting to help Sean. You have so much on your plate. I am praying for all of you. On the meds front, I do think you will find a med for Sean. I know that we've been dealing with finding the "right" meds for Josh for years. I still don't think we're there yet, but I have hope. There are so many different med combinations that can be considered for Sean. I truly believe that you will find it. Has the doc's every talked to you about Abilify, Lithium, or Risperdal? I was always under the impression that those meds were the first to start with when dealing with Bi-polar. Hugs to you tonight KK...I hope today was better. I'm keeping you and your family in my daily prayers.

Thanks for all your support guys! One good thing is that today was supposed to be Sean's last night at his program. When I went to pick him up his therapist stopped me to ask how he was doing and when I told her about the matches, the drawing all over the walls, and the shoving things down the toilet and just his behavior in general she said she would call the ins. co. tomorrow to get him approved for more time there. Tomorrow night is my appt. with the psych. so I will get to talk to her about the meds-I'll let you know how it goes.

My heart goes out to you and Joseph both. I know I told you in my PM that I understood what you are going through but I never had anything like the toilet scene to deal with, so maybe I don't understand as much as I thought. All I can say is I'll be praying for you all.

We didn't find out yet if the ins. co. will approve more days at the program-she is going to try again tomorrow. The psych. saw Sean and agreed that the Depakote is having no effect. We are to up the dosage again starting tomorrow and then she wants me to take him Monday to have blood drawn to check the levels of the Depakote. If we don't see any change then she said we may want to try the Risperdal. So I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.
