What a awful, horrible, totally push me to the very edge without jumping off day I had with this child. Too much crap for me to even attempt to type. It started before I even got out of bed and continued alllll day. Then it continued all night-fortunately at that point it became my husbands problem. My h very rarely loses it but tonight he did. I'm sorry to say it but it's nice to see it's not just me. At one point I had to tell Sean to just stay in his room because I was going to blow...but he kept coming out. Why won't he just listen?!

A tiny smidgen of good news. The therapist called and Sean is approved for 6 more classes. Also she has found someone to see Sean once he is done with the program and that includes a social skills class which is something I tried to find before myself with no luck.

The psych called me today, she called the lab where Sean had his blood drawn and said his Depakote level is on the low end so she increased it again starting today. She also called the pediatrician and talked to him about giving Sean an additional med for the hyperactivity which he said he doesn't see any problems with. She said we can wait until we get back from vacation so we don't have to worry about side effects while we're gone.We have an appt. for Aug 15. She also called the Child Study Team people to let them know she thinks it's important to have Sean evaluated. I love this woman and I will be so sad when he is not in the program anymore and I have to find someone else.

Insurance will not cover any more of the outpatient program so that is done with. The therapist called today and let me know. Although I wish he could continue at least they are helping to get things set up for us. She is calling the ins. co. today to find out if they will at least cover once a week visits with the psychiatrist there since he is on the Depakote he still needs to be seen. That will just be temporary until I can find another psych. She was also getting me some names for that. And the best news is she gave me the number of the therapist who does the social skills classes so I just need to set that up, she already spoke to her about Sean. That will be a once a week group class. I wish I had found this place a year ago!

Hi KK,
Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you too and hope everything works out. You are so lucky that you were able to find a social skills class for Sean. I wish there was one I could have Becca could have attended. It has been so hard. She has always behind socially and now even though she has finally caught up the kids are rejecting her. I am hoping this year will be a better one. Wishing you all the luck too.

Losty, I tried so hard to find one on my own with no luck so I think they keep them on the down low. They're like a great big secret. It's great to see you here-I've missed you. I know Becca has had some rough times at school and I hope this year is a good one for her.
