3yr old in headstart

Ok well as you all know I have only one out of my 4 have ADHD and my little man who is 3 has been in headstart and so is his cousin. Everyday he has been coming home with a bad note and it does not sound like him what the teacher is saying but also she has mentioned she has to seperate the cousins, well friday she asked me if we have Adhd in the family and I told her yes. I think she is thinking my son has adhd....I just don't think so. I mean yes he is the baby and a little more rotten than the rest, the baby gets away with a little more but I honestly think it is my nephew. I love my nephew but me and his mom raise our children very differently. This child just looks at you when you tell him to stop or ask him to do anything, so my question is how do I get my child to stop following his behavior? I can't stand that my child is being bad everyday and it's embarrasing when my sis-n-law thinks it's cute and funny. just as an example of how we do things differently,

Sweet, My son who is 10 and does not have ADHD does this kind of thing too. Not at school but I see it at home when he has certain friends over. I dont know what it is but with some kids I see him just become a different person-acting just like his friend. With other friends he just acts like his self. It is the kids who run around my house with no respect for anything that get him going. I think he's trying to impress them by acting like a fool.
Is it possible for the teacher to keep your son and nephew separated permanently?

I was thinking the same thing as KatieKat. If there is any way to keep them apart in Head Start, thats the way to go. If the cousin isn't around your son, he can't influence him.

If they can't or won't seperate them, maybe the teacher can at least try to direct their attention away from each other and towards other playmates who behave the way she wants them to.

OK I HAVE 2 BOYS MY 5 YR OLD WAS IN HEAD START FOR 2 YEARS GREAT PROGRAM. :-*I AM GOING TO PUT MY NECK OUT AND ASK DO THEY HAVE MORE THAN ONE CLASS? IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE HIM SWITCHED TO ANOTHER TEACHER? OR DO THEY HAVE MORNING AND AFTERNOON CLASSES MAYBE YOU COULD GET HIM ON THE AM INSTEAD OF THE PM OR VICE VERSA? AND IF YOUR SIS IN LAW QUESTIONS WHY YOU SWITCHED HIM OUT OF CLASSES YOU CAN SAY SOMETHING LIKE " THE SCHOOL SCHEDULE WAS CONFLICTING WITH OUR HOME SCHEDULE" OR "I DIDN'T FEEL THE TEACHER WAS MAKING ENOUGH PROGRESS AND I'M WORRIED THAT HE IS NOT GETTING THE HELP HE NEEDS TO GET IN TO KINDRGARTEN" YOU KNOW YOUR CHILD BEST AND IF HE IS BEING DISTRACTED THEN YOU KNOW HE IS NOT GETTING THE EDUCATION HE NEEDS. ONE OTHER THING WHEN A CHILD DEVELOPS A RELATIONSHIP WITH ANOTHER CHILD PLAYING EVERYDAY GOING TO THE STORE WITH EACH OTHER THE PARK. THE MORE THEY HAVE TO TALK ABOUT. YOU MIGHT HAVE SOME LUCK WITH POSITIVE REWARDS FOR GOOD BEHAVIOR WHEN THERE IS A GOOD DAY YOU GET A STICKER, AND WHEN THERE IS A NOTE FROM THE TEACHER THERE IS NO STICKER. SOMETHING POSITIVE GOES FURTHER THEN THE NEGATIVE. HOPE THAT HELPS
