We finally did get to do a mini vaca last week. We went to Hershey Park. We just stayed overnight but it was nice to be away for a day and a half. Becca did get out of hand a few times and it just made us realize how much work she has to do on her patience and manners. Sometime she is so disrespectful and rude. She just wants her way all the time. At the hotel my H and I were very tired and she just didn't care. She kept lights on, the TV on, decided to brush her teeth very late and put on her skin cream. I said I was going to go and sleep in the car and would you believe she said, fine. I finally had to get up and just shut off everything. She whined for about 5 minutes and then finally peace and quiet. It was that certain time for her and I think that just made things worse. By the end of the second day she was tired from walking and actually asking to go home. We had to put up with some whining until we got to the car and were headed home. I took into consideration it was that time for her but I swear at times it was like we had a cranky 90 year old woman with us in the body of a 13 year old. We try to plan according to times of the month but sometimes it just doesn't work out. The trip was nice for the most part but boy did we have a few ugly moments.

It is stories like this that make me thankful that Chase is a boy, and I don't have that to look forward to, but he is still mouthy at times...this morning he actually told me to "Shut up!" in the midst of our planner search, (see my post in school section). I was reprimanding him, because it would not have been lost had he left it where I had placed it moments before we left the house...and yes I needed to stop yelling, scolding, but I was frustrated....and shut up is not a word that I allow here at all...
I am glad the trip went okay, and hopefully next time the timing will work out better for you!

Thanks puzzled. Don't you just love when they tell you to shut up. I also am told to GET OUT. Yes, girls can really be tough but no matter how crazy it gets, I love her and wouldn't trade her for the world. Praying now for a good first couple of days at school for her next week. Heading to the dietition shortly. Now it's the fight to get her to get dressed and ready. Oh boy.......

Luckily Chase is not too picky about how he is dressed. As long as he has a pair of jeans and a T shirt, he is good to go. I remember how important the outfit was with my girls though...everything had to be the right color, style and coordinated just so right down to the shoes and hair accessories.
Mostly, my job in the morning is to keep him moving...."Ok, Chase, get your socks on...now your shoes....good, now get your breakfast.....do your teeth....take your meds...get your things together, it is 5 minutes till the bus comes...."
Then after the bus takes him I collapse on the couch for a few minutes.

Losty - too bad I didn't know you were heading to Hershey Park, we could have driven and met you there. It isn't that far for us to drive. Maybe next time. Tiff is becoming particular about what she wears, not so much about how she looks. Once in a while, she can get on her wanting her hair to look nice. The "shut ups" are the best.

Uni, That would have been cool to catch up with you guys in Hershey. We might go next year and if we do we will let you know. Now the vacas are over and as of tomorrow we are back to school. Becca just got her first body wave done and it gave her hair some nice waves but she was so nervous about how it will look for school. 7th grade was when she really started caring more about her hair and stuff. It starts with the clothes and then goes to the hair and stuff. Some girls are more fussy about it then others. Hopefully Tiff won't get too crazy with it. Praying for a good year this year for everyone.
