Can you get him some art supplies that he can use at home? If his uncle lives near, maybe he could spend some time with him on weekends and help him express himself through charcoal and paints, etc. I'd love to see what he came up with if he drew or painted his imaginary friend.

That reminds me that one of Chase's favorite presents from me was on his 7th birthday, I bought him a plastic box and filled it with craft supplies like twine, and paper plates and yarn and glue, and paper clips....anything you can think of....he still has it and uses a LOT. He makes things all the time out of everything...egg cartons, empty boxes....

Charcoal and paints call my attention. My ds loves drawing and coloring a lot. I will get him some supplies so he can spend some time doing this on the weekends.

Is he an only child? An imaginary friend is normal and maybe he does it for the alone reason.
