As far as I know, you the parent have the Right to remove your child from any class where they teach your children something you/child disagree's with. As much as they may SAY it, any education is NEVER VALUE NEUTRAL.

You are right John, we absolutely can take her out if we want to for moral reasons or other and if we feel the need we will but I don't think we will have to worry about that. I think they are going light on the topics. Personally, I think they should wait until High School to discuss those issues. I didn't have to deal with it until High School because I went to a Catholic grade school. I'm not too worried about Becca being influenced in the wrong way because we have taught Becca strong values and I can already see them reflected back. Guess she will be an old fashioned girl like her Mom and she doesn't care what anyone thinks of that and I'm proud of her. She has agreed to be in with the rest of the kids and I think she will be fine. Come to find out after all of her fussing about it that she doesn't have it until next quarter. At least it's all worked out already.
