Married an opposite here too and it works for us. I can't even begin to imagine being married to someone as emotional as myself, holy mackrel, LOL. By the way, I am picking up a book today that CG suggested in one of her posts. Thank you CG! It's called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Dummies. It's something that anyone one can read and not just for a professional. I have to check the authors names again and I'll list them in the post. Okay, here it is: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Dummies (For Dummies (Psychology & Self Help)) (Paperback) by Rob Willson (Author), Rhena Branch (Author)

I saw that book at the store also. Tell us if it is any good - or better yet summarize the improtant parts for us!!! I like that better than reading it myself.
Does anyone here know about a therapy that includes going through your life timeline and events as far back as you can remember where you like close your eyes and the therapist talks to you and yoy hold these little vibrating things in each hand that pulse back and forth from hand to hand while you work through past bad things? I am trying to figure out if this therapy has a name or what it is based on?

Heading to the store soon to pick up the book, if I can ever get my butt off of this chair, LOL. I'll let you know what I think of the book. CG may have already read it and may have some input on it. This other therapy you mentioned sounds really interesting. Sorry I don't have any info about it to tell you. I hadn't heard about it. Now you've got my curiosity going. I'll see what I can find out about it and if you do find out anything else about it, please do share. Most interesting.

Thanks John. I knew I hadn't suggested the book but couldn't find where it had been suggested, so its good that you did. Now Misty has to read the book and tell us all about it.

Oops, sorry if I had the wrong person that suggested the book, forgive me. Thanks so much John for the info. about the book. I finally picked it up and will try to start reading it this weekend. I also picked up another book called "The Everything Parent's guide to Children with ADD/ADHD by Linda Sonna, Ph.D. I'm hoping to get some time soon in March to do some much needed reading. Can't wait to get your input on the CBT book John. Also, if anyone has heard about the therapy lcdc mentioned please do let me know. It sounds interesting.
