I gave Matt and Miranda a swear jar for a baby shower gift. I think it said "college fund" on it. I figured that with twins, it just might make a big dent in their college expenses. It did get quite a bit in it until after the twins were born, then they cleaned up their acts and I'm happy to say they will have to find a more traditional way to pay for further education. ;D

Hey guys i still stay at home with my folks, i am in my early 20's. I have a thing with swearing so i substitute swear words with things like "Shuggles" for the S word. If i am in a really bad mood i will say "Shiggle me diggle me diggle me do " rather than going the full way and swear. People find this an amusing saying and find it quite funny. "Friggles" F word "Bull(s)" For the B word. In my line of work as a Support Worker working with Autistic men, i hear a lot of swearing from them. We are not there to say "no stop swearing" we are there to support them in their every day lives. One guy uses the F word a lot so one of the senior workers said to him the other day rather than "*censored*" how about "fook" saying as in foot. He said it once but said he prefered to say the proper word. Which is fine by us as we gave him a new word which is a lot better than the one he was saying. I do not mind swearing BUT there comes a point where it is used too way too much. Young kids are real bad for swearing. I swear when in company of my mates. BUT we do not swear in front of kids and old people nor parents. THAT' JUST SO WRONG. The old people have probably heard it like a million times but its showing respect to them if you do not swear infront of them. Politeness and Respect cost nothing but it is how you do these that reflects on you and the way you have been brought up.
Another thing is one of the Service User i cater for despises people who have manners. So why am i working with him as EVERY day he gets on to me for saying "Sorry", "Please", "Thank you". So i spoke to a senior about this and aparently he is rebbellion against his folks. He is one of 10 kids, 3rd eldest. He and one of his brother's has Autism the rest of his siblings are "normal". His parents are extremely reliogious. He has totally gone the other way and talks excessively about The Anti-Christ and Hell etc. So poilteness is a no no in his house since his folks have ACTUALLY brought him up the right way. But he doesn't like it. The senior i spoke to said to keep being poilte in his house as that is who i am and he will just need to lump it. Oh the joys ;D

Annette knows what swear words are but does not repeat them and I give her credit for that plus praise for not saying it. Check back with me in about 3-4 years and I will be posting a vent post on the topic myself.
