Well, we have completed our first week! Emily has done so great. She loves it. She keeps telling me how fun it is & that she didn't know she could it. I'm so proud of her. She's even been able to do it without medicine! We haven't gotten all of her book & stuff yet, but we are doing math & english through worksheets that I can print out. By the time she finishes her work for the day, she can't believe how much she has gotten accomplished. She can't wait for the stuff to get here so she can start on science! Her whole attitude has changed in every way. We are soooo relieved! Her little self esteem is already beginning to blossom. They also have a website called study island that helps them with math & language arts. They can either study in test form or play games. She has been on there every day! I'll continue to keep you all posted. Thanks so much for all the words of encouragement, I'm sure glad we did this! ;D

Study Island is a great site! Shannon's cyber school uses that site too. It helps them get ready for the PSSA's. I'm so glad your daughter is loving homeschool. I bet you both are much more relaxed!

So, we are now a few weeks into homeschool & I must say we are loving it! We finally received all the books & curriculum a few weeks ago & it is some really great stuff! Emily is doing wonderful with the work & loves study island! She has decided that she really enjoys history & science....who knew? We met with her general ed teacher at the beginning of the month. She seems great! She did some math & some reading with Emily & get this.....she said Em is reading at a 4th grade level! At the end of the last school year, she was at mid-end 2nd grade level! Yay Emily!! Today we are going on our first outing with a group from the school & 1 of the teachers. We are going to a pottery place where you can paint your own pottery! The teacher is even bringing some Christmas cookies for us to nibble on while we paint! She is looking forward to meeting some new friends. I am so happy for her because she is so relaxed & seems much more happier! Oh, and she has been medicine free since 11/14! We have even went to parties & gatherings with a lot of people & kids & she did fabulous! Life is good!
