i just took 30mg of pure amphetamines (adderall) about 8am and im wired to the max now... Am i suppose to be doing this? and why is this taking effect but the 20mg didnt phase me?

Actually, I always thought, if you have ADHD, stimulants will make you calm and more focused and if you didn't have ADHD (ADD) then it will make you feel "wired" or stimulated.
Since I'm not a doctor you need to tell your doc this med isn't making you calm and focused at all but rahter feeling very wired.
As far as the lower dosage not affecting you and the higher is, I don't know the answer. I know some meds take a bit to "build" up in your system but not sure if adderall is one of them. I guess sometimes one aspirin won't get rid of a headache but often times, two will, if ya get what I mean.

ok its 12:38 here now 4 hours after i took this pill... i am still a bit jittery but its wearing off... and fast... the exact pill is 30mg amphetamine combo (whatever that means) substituted for adderall 30mg...
so 20mg dont phase me but 30mg makes me skyrocket and then wears off fast? what the heck is wrong with me?

3:22pm now and feel the same as last post... still can feel the adrenaline... but not as bad as this morning... hmmm

the "buzz" almost went away... i had to take it again at 9pm... im waiting for the fireworks

i did 7 loads of laundry all hung up now (i washed every stitch of clothing i had) washed dishes swept and took out the trash cleaned the bathroom and did some things online as well... yeah...i got a few things done lol second dose is kicking in now... ill be up all night making stuff.. its ok i got 2 orders to fill  oh... the only other thing i tried for the ADD/ADHD is ritalin which never phased me and amphetamines 20mg Bid which never phased me either.... 30mg does though!! |

This is early still for me and I'm not on any drug except my coffee. ;D Well, at least you have a bunch of clean clothes and a clean bathroom out of this med.
I would say, no, it isn't the med for you and I'm not sure any adhd med is right for you but then I'm not a doctor so what do I know.
I do hope you'll be able to get to sleep soon.
