We thought we'd take advantage of the lazy summer months (with no school issues) and make this thread to compare stories. I'm sure we've all had plenty of funny, shocking, or even scary moments while navigating the roads of ADHD. Maybe sharing our stories can help other members (or just give each other a laugh).
so....who wants to go first?

OK, Dawn say'z I need to tell ya'll somethin'.
At work awhile back, the Security Coordinator {wonky-paranoid guy} yelled over to us,
''Hey, how's it going guys'', and I yelled back the first thing that came to mind, ''We're Bored''.
My Boss {nice-laid back dude} wasn't to happy and said, ''Why did you tell him that ? And so of 'course I replied, ''We'll because we are.

My son hates school work. I'm sure that's no surprise to anyone but he thought he had the perfect excuse to get out of it the other day. He informed me that face book and his cell phone are all he needs. He texts to face book and put the two together and you get.... textbook. He spends a lot of time textbooking.

This last time we went to NY KK texted that she was at the bus terminal and needed to get a taxi but there was a long line. I checked with the concierge to find out where the bus station was, He asked which one and I told him, then got a map since I can't remember directions, then told KK to get out of line, I was on my way, it was walking distance. I started thinking there were probably a few doors so I asked her what she could see. She could see a post office. I couldn't. She couldn't see whatever it was I was told was by the station. I told her I was there and read the name of the bus station off the entry. It was the wrong station. Poor KK had to get back into line and take a taxi.

Our favorite ADD moment was when Josh was around 7 years old. He had been diagnosed, but hadn't started any meds yet.
So, Josh and Dad were in the backyard washing my car. We were so proud of him because he was really listening and following directions on what to do. Dad was washing, and Josh was following behind with the hose taking off all the soap. Well, the water from the hose was getting into the cracks of the the sidewalk and tons of baby crickets started jumping out of the cracks. Josh seen those crickets and screams "LITTTLE CRICKETS"! He drops the hose, the hose goes wild, soaking Kyle to the bone! Kyle and I laughed so hard we were in tears.
Till this day, whenever Josh has an ADD moment, we call it "Little Cricket". When something pulls him away from what he should be doing, one of us yells "Little Cricket"! It still cracks us up, even at 14 years old.

Ok, we have a few issues with teenagers at where I live and there making out with there boyfriends anywhere they pleased. So I decided that I was going to pull Nicole aside and talk to you about this. And how we dont want the little kids watching this and she understood. So then I go on to saying about how the eldery people dont like seeing this to. And Nicole says to me "Mom it is ok, Because the eldery are just jealous."

Tigger....that is so funny. ....But no, us oldsters know there is a tme and a place for such things. John...I'm laughing but I'm sure your S.C. isn't and obviously your boss wasn't at all. I can see your S.C. sitting in his/her office thinking of things for you to do so you aren't bored. Darn that spontanious reply! Bugs, I'm picturing the "Little Crickets" soaking episode and laughing my fool head off. And Charlie Girl, what can I say. Things like that happen. And as soon as I recall some of my embarassing moments, I'll be sure to post them. Right now I'm drawing a blank.
