My son refuses to talk about it more and the kid's name flew right by me. I am going to call the principal about it but hopefully I'll remember the kid's name first. It will be a simple matter for her to check with the teacher.
I am hoping my son didn't hear what he thought he heard and it isn't an issue. I do know that if he is afraid of that boy he could easily have heard part of what was said and assumed the rest. I really hope so. Something in my gut tells me that isn't the case.

I also hope they look further into that paper this kid wrote, but you never know. Once when I worked at the middle school I was taking my group of 6 special ed kids to their next class. While we waited this kid(who was not in special ed but definitely had tons of behavioral issues) came up to them and told them about a dream he had in which he killed them all. He gave lots of gory details about how he shot them and how they were bleeding etc. Well, I went and told the principal and after he spoke to the boy he called me down to his office to tell me that he couldnt do anything about it because the boy was just telling us about his dream not making threats! Unbelievable. The following year this same kid was sent to another school for emotionally disturbed children.
