Hey John! Instead of thinking of Misty and JJ as royal pains in the behinders, consider them the goads you need to keep you searching for all the info you will need for that selp help book you can write, you know, the one that will make you rich and famous! That's a great idea Barb . . . and that is what I need in my life = mORe GOADS LOL ! Haven't found my book yet. Spend about two hours with Sean going over History exam for today. Also spent about 45 min on the phone with the local gas company . . . you guesed it, we got cut off. Had to pay some big back money we owed [sp] and it will get turned back on ''sometime'' today. Don't worry, this only happens about once a year . . .

Well, Barb, we are not royal pains in the behinders. I just want to understand because and John is John, I'm sorry about your gas. My ADHD husband used to forget to pay the bills from time to time & we've had things shut off too, so I know just how it is! I'm glad they are coming quickly to reconnect you! I hope Sean gets an A on his test!

Implicit in the concept of self-esteem is the notion of estimating or rating and measuring your worth. If you have high self-esteem then your measure of your value or worth is high. Conversely if you have low self esteem your estimate of your value is low. Condemning yourself globally is a form of overgeneralizing known as labeling or self-downing. This thinking error creates low self esteem. Labelling yourself makes you feel worse and can lead to couterproductive actions SUCH AS = Avoidance, Isolation, Rituals, Procrastions and Perfectionism to name a few.
When you measure your worth on the basis of one or more external factors you are likely to up and down like a Yo-Yo in both mood and self-concept( acceptance) because life is very changeable.
PS ~ Were back on trAck . . . .

PS ~ Were back on trAck . . . . O.K. But I'm still confused about the difference in self-esteem and self-acceptance. To me you can be a yo-yo in mood and self-esteem/self-acceptance/concept....which ever..doesn't matter. Nope, still don't see any difference. Sorry John, I know your trying to clarify the difference but I'm just not getting the light bulb moment.
