I cheering for you Uni! I just recently cut back on half of the milk I drink hoping I'll lose a few pounds. So far I think I've gained weight. Just dont deprive yourself too much or you'll give up.

Some days I have felt like I was starving and light headed. That is too far with not getting enough but not too much to eat in a day.

Uni,
Good for you! Wish I could lose even one pound. I'm trying to take off 15-20 lbs myself and I know how frustrating it can be. The hardest thing for me is having to drink the water. I just simply don't like it so I try lots of other things and the Fruit 2 0 is one of them. I really like it. Another thing I do is to just add a little bit of flavor to the water and that seems to help me get it down better. A half a glass of fat free milk helps me feel a little bit more full too. I didn't gain any weight last week but didn't lose either so I need to get on the ball this week. Hope you have another good week this week. Headin out for a walk right now. Maybe I'll lose a few ounces,LOL.

1.5 lbs this week. Yeah. It has been harder, but trying not to give up. I wish it was easy to make it go away. But keep on going is what I will try.

Hi unicorn,
I just had to post on this thread since I have my story on this topic. I was very overweight a long time ago. I used to go on many different diets and then I just went back to my old eating habits and gained it all again. I had a tough time in regard to weight issues and was even psychologically affected for some time. Finally, I just decided to give a complete turn to my lifestyle; I learned to eat small portions of everything always trying to choose the healthier ones for the routine. Exercising some days a week is also important for keeping yourself fit and your heart strong; however, I must admit that I stopped exercising a long time ago due to work and mothering issues. I also support the idea that it is okay to eat the forbidden now and then and just control portions. Currently, I am at an ideal weight for my frame and have kept off the extra weight for many years; and still I enjoy food.
I really wish you achieve your goals, but I would insist that the important part is to create a new lifestyle forever.
Good luck!!

I would insist that the important part is to create a new lifestyle forever. Good luck!! You're right. Everything I've ever read about diets has said that. My husband has high cholesterol & even just learning to cook less fried things & more grilled, less red meat & more fish & chicken was a challenge (especially since hes a huge meat & potatoes type guy!), but I managed & now it doesn't seem like such a big deal. Once you get used to it & incorporate it into your life, you wonder why you ever worried in the first place. I think its awesome that you did that, Mary2 & I know Uni can too!

Slow and steady I guess for now. Got rid of 1 lb last week. So that is 5.5 so far. I have been eating smaller portions and taking healthier snacks to work. I am trying to keep positive, some days that is hard. I bought a new outfit. This woman at work said I looked fantastic. BF wasn't impressed and my mother said I looked either fat or pregnant. So I had to push those feelings aside and keep plugging along.
Mary2 thanks for your story. Will keep updating...

Unicorn, if I could do it, you can do it too!!
I really feel happy right now and after I got used to the new lifestyle I have no problems in feeling it is too hard. In fact, it isn't hard at all for me, I just love the way I do and also enjoy the food I eat to the fullest.
Keep going, I will be here to support you and give you strengh!!
It is hard at the beginning but you will get there, trust me!!
