Zzzzz'z, my dd is finally in her sleep. Today it was another of those days when she cried like an ambulance. I think she got a cold again; well, actually she had a virus before according to what the doc said; but now she is having an extremely runny nose; and I had to mix the medication with soda so she could take it; the medication is supposed to dry her nose; let's hope I can have a good night sleep; I will sleep in her room so I don't have to start traveling during midnight like I did yesterday.
Today I helped my son to build a compass he had to do for homework. It really killed my brain. I had done compasses before since I had taught science and magnetism was one of my favorites. The problem started when I thought I needed to find a way to make a compass in which he wouldn't need to use water; that would avoid him from asking permission to go to the bathroom for the water or to spill something in the classroom. I worked hard with one example I found in the internet, but as I tried it with my real compass, I noticed it wasn't working well. So, just a few minutes ago I decided that he would definitely need to use water for the regular home made compass. So it took me several minutes to make him understand how to set it in the classroom and the water thing, he had a hard time understanding that he had to use water with this one. He was disappointed because he wanted his compass to look like my real one. I explained him a thousand times that the compass he would be taking would be just fine. He wasn't very convinced but I know he will do fine when he looks at the compasses from his classmates. I was laughing with my husband a few minutes ago about all this compass issue. I have never worked so hard for a compass, LOL

Aaaahhh....I had a meeting with Megan's school this morning in regards to getting her a speech assessment. It went really well. There were 6 of us there including me. She does have some issues because of her cleft, having a hole in her gum line and teeth that are completely sideways. But now, because she's almost completely a phonetic speller, she's spelling as she says words....and "weally" should be "really". So it's impacting her academically. Her teacher says that she's very vocal in offering her answers and has a very expansive vocabulary. So that's good. But her pronounciation of some letters needs to be improved.
Other than that, I'm running to Target at lunch to get toilet paper on sale (oh, the excitement, I know!), go to Kroger to Western Union and get the money that my mom sent for Bill and I for Christmas (YAY!!!) and then Chick Fil A for my free chicken salad sandwich with the coupon from the calendar.
This afternoon, I have to run Megan to her Brownie Nut Booth sale at 4 and pick her up at 5. Right from there, I'm dropping Keara off at her booth sale, but it's a 20 minute drive from Megan's. So Megan and I will wander around the mall near where Keara will be for a couple of hours. Then, when we get home around 7:30ish, I have to bake a dozen cupcakes and ice them white to deliver tomorrow for Cakes Across America. I felt hideously guilty charging CAA $30 for the cupcakes, but then again, they charged the person ordering them $62....so they make $32 for making a phone call to me! And it's always pre-paid, so people know what they're ordering....I just feel so guilty! And it's for an 11 year old boy...and the area of town I'm delivering to is not THAT great....though you know....now that I think of it....I think I delivered to this same boy last year.....hmmmm....I think it is. Well, he's got SOMEONE well off in his family. Because you can go to Sams Club and get something like 24 cupcakes for $9.99!!! Even if you don't have a membership there, it's still only 10% extra!
That's about it for now....though we had frost on our windshield this morning, too! Ick. I don't have a remote starter...but I do love my heated seats!!! :-)

Bad is how I feel this morning HELP!!!!! I don't want to go to work. The cold hit me this time. I have a terrible headache, a sore throat, and my body aches all over. At this time I must get ready, Tuesdays I get to work later because of my schedule but I want to stay home so badly. I would stay home if I weren't traveling next week. I will be missing a week of work, so that is enough of a reason to go today even when I feel so bad. I really want to cry like a child who wants to be spoiled today

Couldn't be any busier this weekend. Either nothing to do at all or a million things at once-it always seems to work out that way. Today I have a bridal shower to go to for my friend. It's also my niece's b-day party. Then I have to pick up the favors I ordered for my sister's shower and wrap all the presents. Tomorrow is my sister's shower-Im going to have to get up super early, pick up the cake and balloons and be at her MIL's house by 10:00 and it's at least half an hour away. To top it all off I have an exam to study for and a paper to write. Joseph has a paper to write for LA, a lab report to type up for Science and a project that is due on Monday. Although he will do them himself he does need to be monitered a bit because he loves to rush through things because of course he has better things to do. SO this should be a very un-relaxing weekend here. This morning I woke up at 7:15 and freaked out because I thought it was a weekday and was wondering why the alarm didn't go off. I jumped out of bed and almost woke up Joe before I realized it was Saturday. Well I am off to get a shower so I can go to the shower. Have a good weekend!

Don't ever want to move my parents again. Thats what i've had to do for the past week. Not fun. My ds had a really bad week in school which makes my week bad. First he gets a referal for messing around in the library and spends the next day in (ALE) alternative learning enviroment. He actually liked it in there. They get to do all their work then when everyone is done they get to talk. Oh sounds like a punishment to me. Then two days later the principle is calling telling me my son and another kid were writing notes back and forth to eachother. Their punishment is to have to read them to their parents. Ok. So i sat on the phone listening as he was reading it. They were both calling each other dooch bags. So i talked to him when he got home. I asked him if he knew what a dooch bag was. He said its just a name they all call eachother..LMAO. I told him the real meaning. His response "Oh gross. Thats sick. I'm never gonna call anyone that again" Hopefully this week will be better. I have parent teacher conferences this week so i'm sure i will hear he can't stop talking, he dont stay in his seat, he dosnt turn in his work. I mean dont get me wrong i will love it if i dont hear them things but ever since the kid started preschool at age 2 thats all i've heard. KK hope your baby shower goes good for you.

I meant to "report in" right after Kellyh posted because her toliet paper comment cracked me up. Well, it cracked me up again the 2nd time around. And Mary...I'm sorry I didn't see in your post you were sick. I feel so bad no one responded to you as you needed some TLC. I know what you mean when you say you just want to cry when you feel so bad. I do hope you felt better on your trip. KK, I don't know what to say to you except I'm overwhelmed just thinking about what all you have to do. And Sweetpea...moving stinks! I hate it and I swear I'll starve for a month just to afford packers/movers next time around. Hopefully that won't be for a very long time from now. Oh and Sweetpea, I can just hear your son telling all his freinds what that means. ROTFL I am sorry he was getting in trouble at school though. I've been busy working on that door (with my brother) all weekend..the door that will be the access to the handicap ramp for my Mom. I tell you I was totally pooped and wanted to do nothing but crawl in bed and just stay there for 24 hours. LOL Not much of anything else going on but haven't reported in for a while so though I would.

Just one more day of getting up early for the bus stop & then theres a long weekend! I actually let Shannon stay home today too. She has a Dr. appt at 11:30. She has Oshgood-Schlotters, which is when the tendons grow faster than the bones & it flares up every time she has a growth spurt. When it flares up she has to take it easy & that means no taking gym. Her excuse from last year is out dated so she needs a new one. Thats why the Dr. appt. Thankfully, when she's done growing she'll have no more inflammation. It is COLD outside & I'm LOVING it! we are supposed to get some snow tonight into tomorrow morning. Thursday I think I'll get up early & go to a church sale near my house. I go a couple times a year & grab up all the white shirts I can find for work. You can't beat the prices! Then Friday Shannon & I are going to the mall to get her ears pierced (FINALLY...LOL)! My mom is going with us so Shannon can try on the boots she wants. My mom is buying them for her for Christmas & wants to make sure she gets the correct size. So I have some busy days this week! Mary, I hope you are feeling better & enjoying Florida! Kelly, did your girls sell tons of cookies? Sweetpea, I know what you mean about moving. I'm helping my sister get ready to move. They are moving over Thanksgiving & we'll be helping then too...UGH. I told her I'll watch my nephew while they move...thats MUCH more fun! JJ, How's that ramp coming along?

Kind of procrastinating here, I should be writing papers, and I will, I swear, as soon as I am done catching up on the forum. I have one more for the evil democracy teacher, titled "What have I learned in this class?" I am tempted to write that I have learned that she does not explain assignments well, nor answer email questions promptly, but I won't. I will type 3 pages of fluff on how much she taught me, to secure my A. Then I have the research paper for computer class, and a final paper for geography on what physical geography is and how it affects us...or some such thing...I wrote the question down...the first two are due tomorrow, then the other one on friday. Then I have ONE more computer class, in which our final exam is to teach someone something on the computer that they wanted to learn...so I am taking chase out of school for half a day and taking him with me. He will learn how to use Microsoft Publisher to make a t shirt transfer, and then print it out and iron it on. Then we have a pizza party. I think he will enjoy seeing where mom is going so often....and getting the half day off of school, of course. After that, I am free, except for ordering books, until Jan 2.
I almost have everything together for that bus monitoring job, then I can start doing that, the extra money at christmas will be nice.
Well, I had better get started, time is a wasting.

Look out....here I am....ok, so who cares, but it started with an L! Gues where I'm going tonight....guess, guess, guess....guessed yet? My husband and I are going to Charlottesville (an hour away) to see The Police!!! I'm so excited. I love The Police...not quite as much as Billy Joel who I saw last February, but they're supposed to be an awesome show, too. My MIL is babysitting tonight...the girls don't like it when she babysits...she yells...but she's free! And I usually only ask her to babysit once a month or so for 2 hours....so they can all suck it up...my hubby and I go almost NO WHERE together. The parent/teacher interviews went exceedingly well (see my post under the School heading on the main board). Very pleased with Megan's progress! My husband has given us the okay to go to my mom's for Thanksgiving. It'll be a surprise for the girls. But that means I have 2 weeks to make sure I have all of my mom's and the girls' memere and pepere's (adopted grandparents) and their Godmother's Christmas gifts ready....sigh. And because shipping isn't that cheap to Canada, by taking the gifts, I've basically paid for a tank of gas. And it only takes 2 tanks to get there. I love my van....26 mpg on the highway! I'm almost done all the Christmas shopping....but I swear, stockings cost more to fill than a freakin' present! And when Keara was a baby, my mom thought it was sooo cute to have me make a stocking that was big enough to fit her in....yes, just adorable...cute pictures....not so cute now when I have to fill it up! Thankfully, I buy big things like shampoo and conditioner for their hair types (of course they're not the same...that would be too easy) and body wash...gotta go with the industrial sized bottles to fill this stocking! Well, at least the kids smell good and have clean hair! Though, the upside to buying all the presents is that I get to buy me exactly what I want!
